Job Description

Overview American Sign Language Interpreter role at Global Impact Group LLC. Responsibilities Provide onsite ASL/English interpretation (receptive and expressive) in a variety of settings, individually or in teams, conveying all cultural and linguistic information. Convey the thought, intent, and spirit of a speaker to a deaf/hard of hearing person. Interpret/transliterate expressively and receptively using manual and oral methods for the deaf and hard of hearing. Maintain the confidentiality of information exchanged in an interpreting situation. Communicate effectively by signing, orally, and in writing. Keep detailed and accurate records. Meet schedules and timelines. Qualifications And Skills Possess advanced, accurate voicing skills to mediate between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL) in both directions. Be familiar with the terminology and provisions of the American Disabilities Act (ADA). Possess skills in a broad range of general interpreting assignments. Possess knowledge of a variety of specialized vocabulary including medical terminology, supply chain management technical jargon, and business vernacular.
