About the Role:

The Enrichment Services Manager oversees EmployAbility’s Community Access Group (CAG) and Prevocational Training programs. This role provides leadership, supervision, and guidance to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensures compliance with state and organizational standards, and develops meaningful, curriculum-based activities that promote skill development, independence, and community engagement for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide daily leadership, supervision, and support to DSPs, ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing coverage, and resource allocation to meet program needs.
  • Coordinate orientation, training, and ongoing professional development for DSPs.
  • Facilitate monthly team/department meetings to review progress, address challenges, and promote collaboration.

Program Development & Implementation

  • Develop and implement daily and weekly activity schedules aligned with person-centered goals and evidence-based best practices.
  • Assist with program evaluation, data collection, and continuous quality improvement efforts.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Oversee and review DSP documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state and agency standards.
  • Maintain and track participant goals, progress, and outcomes; prepare required reports and records.
  • Monitor program environments and practices to ensure safety, security, and adherence to health regulations.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, caregivers, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Communicate regularly with the Vice President of I/DD Operations and the Developmental Disability Professional (DDP) regarding participant needs, staffing, and program issues.

Direct Support

  • Support participants directly in group and community settings as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

Experience & Knowledge

  • Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
  • Familiarity with DBHDD, Medicaid, and other regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of person-centered practices that promote dignity, autonomy, and inclusion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must have a valid driver’s license and current insurance.
  3. Two years of experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or equivalent.
  4. Two years of experience in a supervisory role.
  5. Must be punctual and reliable.
  6. Proficiency in using computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (or relevant field).

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be able to work in various adult day service environments, with frequent interaction with staff and participants.
  2. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  3. Must be able to operate EmployAbility owned vehicles to transport participants.
