Global Supply Manager (Capital Equipment)

Location: Hybrid Structure, Full Time, San Francisco

Diagon is building nextgeneration procurement software to help customers source industrial manufacturing equipment. Diagons expert procurement services are empowering customers to construct the factories of the future. Diagon is a fastmoving startup with worldclass investors and an experienced founding team.

Position Overview

We are looking for a highenergy CAPEX GSM who will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing capital equipment necessary for our clients' factories. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a software tool tailored to streamline the equipment procurement process.

Responsibilities

  • Global Supply Management:
    • Manage the procurement process from initial purchase requisition to delivery and installation.
    • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for capital equipment purchases.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, & contracts to ensure costeffectiveness and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with all stakeholders to determine equipment specifications and requirements.
    • Maintain strong relationships with equipment suppliers to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
    • Monitor supplier performance and address issues to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Technical competency
  • Product Management:
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including Development & Design, to implement features discovered during customer interactions.
    • Gather feature requirements, define specifications, and clearly articulate these requirements to the design and development team.
    • Provide ongoing support to optimize the functionality & usability of the procurement software tool.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in capital equipment procurement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in product management, software development, and related tools is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
