Mercy’s Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive, year-long experience designed to support new graduate nurses as they transition into professional practice. The program includes:

• 12 structured classes
• Didactic lectures & online modules
• Simulated learning experiences
• Presentations & National Patient Safety Goals
• Hands-on training with bedside caregivers and nursing leadership

🩺 Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Must hold a current RN license in the state of Missouri or compact licensure, and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program. Comparable education and successful licensure may be considered.
• Licensure: Must hold a current LPN license in the stae of Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Experience: Open to both new and experienced LPNs.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.
