The community you'll be working with: UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks Alternative School, Grades 3-12

The role you'll contribute:

Develops and implements art therapy treatment plans and teaches art classes to students in grades 3 through 12 in alternative school setting

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Teaches art classes to students in grades 3 through 12.

• Conducts student assessments to identify emotional and psychological needs.

• Develops individualized art therapy treatment plans based on student assessments.

• Creates and facilitates art therapy sessions tailored to each student's needs.

• Collaborates with healthcare providers to integrate art therapy into the overall treatment plan.

• Monitors and evaluates student progress during art therapy sessions.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Adjusts treatment plans as necessary based on student progress and feedback.

• Coordinates therapeutic art activities for both individual and group sessions.

• Observes and documents student responses to art therapy interventions.

• Encourages student socialization and expression through art activities.

• Provides students with information regarding resources and therapeutic art activities in the community.

• Maintains detailed records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress.

• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss student care and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed :

• Bachelor's Required

• Master's Preferred

• Work Experience Required

• Registered Art Therapist (ATR) Required

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Preferred
