Job Description

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Location: Columbia, South Carolina
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.
  • Pre-Employment Check: State mandatory background checks (Criminal, Credit, E-Verify) are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Development: Develop robust test plans , QA/User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, and detailed test cases from business requirements and policy documentation.
  • Execution & Analysis: Initiate tests, including negative testing and usability, analyze results, and find technical solutions to isolate and solve issues.
  • Advanced Testing: Lead projects to perform quality assessments that expose security flaws, reveal defects, and identify areas for optimization.
  • Automation: Design and/or run automated testing scripts and design/support user interface testing and regression testing software.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create quality assurance documentation and reports, communicate and publish status reports on all open issues/gaps, and maintain a database of product defects (e.g., in tools like JIRA).
  • Governance: Adhere to established software testing governance policies and recommend improvements to best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Test Case Development: 3+ years experience translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.
  • Test System Implementation: 3+ years experience building test cases and scenarios into test systems.
  • Curam Experience: 2+ years experience testing IBM Curam software .
  • Communication: Ability to communicate and publish status reports of all open issues and articulate details to Development teams.
  • Documentation: Proven ability to document and support the development and execution of testing activities.

Preferred Skills

  • Enterprise Experience: 5+ years large enterprise or e-business systems experience.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid) and related business processes.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient in the Atlassian tool suite , including JIRA and Confluence .
  • Methodologies: Prior experience working in both standard SDLC (Waterfall) and AGILE delivery environments.

Education

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field. Relevant years of experience may substitute for formal education.
